How to choose the right pattern scale
Small, medium or large? Matching pattern scale to room size and viewing distance.
Scale is the most common reason a wallpaper feels 'wrong' once it is up. Think about viewing distance as much as room size.
Small scale (repeat under 30 cm)
Reads as texture from a distance. Great for small rooms, ceilings and as a backdrop to art.
Medium scale (30–55 cm)
The most versatile choice for living rooms, bedrooms and halls.
Large scale (over 55 cm)
Statement territory. Big walls, high ceilings and rooms you view from a distance.
