Black & White Wallpaper for Cloakrooms
The downstairs loo or cloakroom is the place to be brave. In a small room, bold pattern feels like a jewellery box rather than overwhelming.
Black and white wallpaper is graphic, timeless and surprisingly easy to style.
Our edit of 98 original designs includes banana leaf, blooms, busy bee, butterfly, cocktail scallop, confetti and more. Highlights from the edit include Edmund Painted Spot, Trevose Pastoral Toile, Wardle Banana Leaf.

Styling tips
- Add one accent colour – yellow, green or red – for a contemporary edge.
- Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
How much will I need?
A typical cloakroom wall of about 1.6 m wide × 2.4 m high needs 4 drops. With a 53 cm pattern repeat you get 3 drops per 10 m roll, so you would order 2 rolls – from £88.40 on Standard paper to £145.08 on Luxe. Use the calculator on any product page for your exact walls.
Make it your own
Every design in this edit can be recoloured, rescaled and previewed on a photo of your own wall in Design Your Own, then printed made-to-measure.
Frequently asked questions
Will black & white wallpaper work in my cloakroom?
Add one accent colour – yellow, green or red – for a contemporary edge. Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
Can I change the colours of a design?
Yes – open any design in our Design Your Own tool to change colours, scale and layout, then order it made to measure for your wall.
Are your designs original?
Yes. Every pattern is an original Wallpaper Kingdom artwork created in-house; we do not reproduce other designers' work.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
Measure the width of each wall and the height from skirting to ceiling. Our rolls are 52 cm wide and 10 m long. Use the roll calculator on every product page – it accounts for the pattern repeat and recommends one spare roll.
