Dark & Moody Damask Wallpaper
Damask takes its name from woven silks traded through Damascus. Its mirrored, scrolling medallions bring formality and heritage character.
Dark and moody wallpaper makes rooms feel cocooning and dramatic, and paradoxically can make small rooms feel larger as the corners recede.
Our edit of 22 original designs includes baroque damask, classic damask, heritage damask, regency damask. Highlights from the edit include Rigby Classic Damask, Dudley Heritage Damask, Dorrit Baroque Damask.

Styling tips
- Tone-on-tone damask is a sophisticated backdrop for antiques; high-contrast versions suit modern gothic or maximalist schemes.
- Use warm lamps rather than overhead light to make dark walls glow.
- Hang damask centred on a chimney breast or bed so the medallions line up symmetrically.
How much will I need?
A typical living room wall of about 4.2 m wide × 2.4 m high needs 9 drops. With a 64 cm pattern repeat you get 3 drops per 10 m roll, so you would order 3 rolls – from £132.60 on Standard paper to £217.62 on Luxe. Use the calculator on any product page for your exact walls.
Make it your own
Every design in this edit can be recoloured, rescaled and previewed on a photo of your own wall in Design Your Own, then printed made-to-measure.
