Purple Wallpaper for Cloakrooms
The downstairs loo or cloakroom is the place to be brave. In a small room, bold pattern feels like a jewellery box rather than overwhelming.
Purple – from lavender to plum – feels creative, romantic and a little unexpected.
Our edit of 53 original designs includes blooms, busy bee, butterfly, camellia bower, confetti, dahlia parade and more. Highlights from the edit include Vivian Deco Fan, Ravenscroft Medina Star, Hallam Scallop Shell.

Styling tips
- Mix with sage or ochre to keep it modern.
- Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
How much will I need?
A typical cloakroom wall of about 1.6 m wide × 2.4 m high needs 4 drops. With a 53 cm pattern repeat you get 3 drops per 10 m roll, so you would order 2 rolls – from £88.40 on Standard paper to £145.08 on Luxe. Use the calculator on any product page for your exact walls.
Make it your own
Every design in this edit can be recoloured, rescaled and previewed on a photo of your own wall in Design Your Own, then printed made-to-measure.
Frequently asked questions
Will purple wallpaper work in my cloakroom?
Mix with sage or ochre to keep it modern. Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. Every design is available as a free A4 sample so you can check colour and scale in your own light before you order.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
Measure the width of each wall and the height from skirting to ceiling. Our rolls are 52 cm wide and 10 m long. Use the roll calculator on every product page – it accounts for the pattern repeat and recommends one spare roll.
Are your designs original?
Yes. Every pattern is an original Wallpaper Kingdom artwork created in-house; we do not reproduce other designers' work.
