Red Wallpaper for Cloakrooms
The downstairs loo or cloakroom is the place to be brave. In a small room, bold pattern feels like a jewellery box rather than overwhelming.
Red is energising and sociable – historically the colour of dining rooms and libraries.
Our edit of 46 original designs includes butterfly, calacatta-look marble, chrysler step, confetti, country house bloom, country scene and more. Highlights from the edit include Tremaine Rosette Floral, Lytes Radiant Sunburst, Dexter Polka Dot.

Styling tips
- Ground reds with natural wood and plenty of soft lighting.
- Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
How much will I need?
A typical cloakroom wall of about 1.6 m wide × 2.4 m high needs 4 drops. With a 53 cm pattern repeat you get 3 drops per 10 m roll, so you would order 2 rolls – from £88.40 on Standard paper to £145.08 on Luxe. Use the calculator on any product page for your exact walls.
Make it your own
Every design in this edit can be recoloured, rescaled and previewed on a photo of your own wall in Design Your Own, then printed made-to-measure.
Frequently asked questions
Will red wallpaper work in my cloakroom?
Ground reds with natural wood and plenty of soft lighting. Pattern on all walls and even the ceiling is a designer trick worth trying.
Is your wallpaper paste-the-wall?
All Wallpaper Kingdom papers are non-woven and paste-the-wall, so they are quicker to hang and dry-strippable when you want a change.
Can I change the colours of a design?
Yes – open any design in our Design Your Own tool to change colours, scale and layout, then order it made to measure for your wall.
Can I see the wallpaper on my own wall before buying?
Yes. In Design Your Own, take or upload a photo of your wall, drag the four corners into place and we will render the pattern onto your wall in perspective.
