Red Wallpaper for Kitchens
Wallpaper in kitchens adds personality to a room dominated by hard surfaces. Choose a scrubbable paper and keep it away from direct splashes behind hobs and sinks.
Red is energising and sociable – historically the colour of dining rooms and libraries.
Our edit of 31 original designs includes arch, atomic star, calacatta-look marble, country scene, diamond, dogtooth and more. Highlights from the edit include Hammond Atomic Star, Hawthorne Terrazzo, Denholm Tumbling Block.

Styling tips
- Ground reds with natural wood and plenty of soft lighting.
- A breakfast nook or dining end of the kitchen is the ideal spot.
How much will I need?
A typical kitchen wall of about 3.0 m wide × 2.4 m high needs 6 drops. With a 53 cm pattern repeat you get 3 drops per 10 m roll, so you would order 2 rolls – from £88.40 on Standard paper to £145.08 on Luxe. Use the calculator on any product page for your exact walls.
Make it your own
Every design in this edit can be recoloured, rescaled and previewed on a photo of your own wall in Design Your Own, then printed made-to-measure.
Frequently asked questions
Will red wallpaper work in my kitchen?
Ground reds with natural wood and plenty of soft lighting. A breakfast nook or dining end of the kitchen is the ideal spot.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
Measure the width of each wall and the height from skirting to ceiling. Our rolls are 52 cm wide and 10 m long. Use the roll calculator on every product page – it accounts for the pattern repeat and recommends one spare roll.
How long does delivery take?
Rolls are printed to order and typically dispatched within 3–5 working days. Samples are sent within 1–2 working days.
Is your wallpaper paste-the-wall?
All Wallpaper Kingdom papers are non-woven and paste-the-wall, so they are quicker to hang and dry-strippable when you want a change.
