Straight match vs half-drop match wallpaper
Quick answer
In a straight match, the pattern lines up horizontally across every drop, so each drop starts at the same point. In a half-drop match, every other drop is shifted down by half the repeat, giving a diagonal rhythm. Half-drops are slightly trickier to plan and can create a little more waste. Every Wallpaper Kingdom product lists its match type.
Hanging tip
For half-drops, cut drops alternately from two rolls to reduce waste.
